Grey Owl Tenderfoot Canoe Paddle
Laminated bass construction with pear grip and urethane tip; suitable for the young camper 8 and older. These paddles are distinguished by their long slender blades and overall resilience. Originally carved from a single piece of wood, the blades were narrow to prevent warpage, but with a long enough area to propel the craft effectively. The blade is scaled to the shaft and gets larger as the shaft length increases. A pleasure to use for day in, day out, all day paddling. The longer blade limits these paddles to deeper water (2' - 3' minimum). Though blade shapes vary in design, intended usage remains the same.

Grey Owl Guide Canoe Paddle
These paddles are distinguished by their long slender blades and overall resilience. The blade is scaled to the shaft and gets larger as the shaft length increases. Generally a smaller blade area than our recreational line, these paddles are a pleasure to use for day in, day out, all day paddling. The longer blade limits these paddles to deeper water (2' - 3' minimum). Though blade shapes vary in design, intended usage remains the same. Everyone has personal blade preferences, so try before you buy and choose the shape you like. Generally speaking, larger blades are more suitable for steering, while the smaller blades lend themselves to solo paddling. Grey Owl Raven Canoe Paddle
RAVEN 12° - Bent Shaft - Carbon Carbon fibre foam core construction with knife edge blade for a clean catch and exit. Comfy, fatigue fighting grip. A durable lightweight composite 12° bentshaft paddle suitable for marathon or outrigger canoeing. These are excellent shallow or deep water paddles that offer increased efficiency through paddle design and paddling technique. The blade of the paddle is offset from the shaft to allow the blade to remain vertical to the canoe’s path throughout the stroke. This improves the efficiency of each stroke and allows shorter strokes at an increased stroke rate. These factors coupled with a ‘sit & switch’ technique (i.e. changing sides every twelve strokes or so to reduce fatigue and steering correction) make Grey Owl Bent Shafts hard to beat for long distance paddling.
